If you've ever ended a workday with seventeen browser tabs open one for your WooCommerce orders, one for your marketplace dashboard, another for your social shop, and a spreadsheet trying to tie it all together this post is for you.

We built OmniOrders because that's exactly the problem we kept hearing from merchants. Not that they didn't have enough sales channels. That they couldn't manage them without losing their minds.

Today, OmniOrders is live inside Stratum. Here's what it does, why we built it the way we did, and what it means for your day-to-day operations.

The problem we set out to solve

Multi-channel selling is the right strategy for growing merchants. The data is clear: merchants who sell across three or more channels generate significantly more revenue than those who stick to one. But the operational reality of multi-channel selling, especially for small teams without dedicated operations staff, is genuinely painful.

Here's what managing orders across channels typically looks like without a unified system:

Without OmniOrders
  • Log into each channel dashboard separately to check for new orders
  • Manually copy order details into your fulfilment system or spreadsheet
  • Update tracking numbers back into each platform one by one
  • Check stock levels separately to avoid overselling
  • Chase down customer queries across multiple inboxes
  • Produce reports by exporting from each platform and combining manually
With OmniOrders
  • All orders from all channels appear in one feed, in real time
  • Process, pick, pack and despatch from a single screen
  • Tracking syncs back to every channel automatically
  • Stock levels update across all channels when an order is placed
  • Customer order history visible regardless of which channel they used
  • Cross-channel reporting built in no spreadsheets required

The difference isn't cosmetic. It's the difference between spending two hours a day on order admin and spending twenty minutes.

What OmniOrders does

OmniOrders is Stratum's unified order management module. It pulls every order from every connected channel into a single, real-time feed and gives you the tools to manage the full order lifecycle from one place.

Unified order feed
Every order from every connected channel in one real-time list. Filter by channel, status, date or fulfilment method.
One-screen fulfilment
Process orders, generate pick lists, print packing slips, and mark orders as shipped all from a single screen.
Real-time inventory sync
When an order is placed on any channel, stock levels update everywhere instantly. No more manual corrections, no more oversells.
Order status tracking
Track every order through the full lifecycle pending, processing, packed, shipped, delivered with timestamps at each stage.
Customer order history
See every order a customer has placed across any channel in one place. Better support, better relationships.
Cross-channel reporting
Revenue, order volume and fulfilment performance across all channels in one report. No more export-and-combine in spreadsheets.

How it connects to the rest of Stratum

OmniOrders doesn't operate in isolation. It's wired into the rest of the Stratum platform so that every part of your operation stays in sync.

  • 1 Inventory management stock levels update automatically when an order is placed, regardless of which channel it came through. You set the stock, Stratum keeps it accurate everywhere.
  • 2 Logistics integration generate waybills, book collections and track shipments directly from the order view. No switching to your courier's portal.
  • 3 Returns management when a customer initiates a return, it flows back through OmniOrders so you can process it, update stock, and issue a refund from the same place.
  • 4 Accounting with Xero integration active, every order automatically generates the corresponding invoice or sales record. Your books stay up to date without manual entry.

The principle behind OmniOrders: Every time you have to switch between systems to complete one task, you lose time and introduce the risk of error. OmniOrders is designed to eliminate those switches not just for orders, but for everything connected to an order.

What this means at scale

The efficiency gains from unified order management compound as your volume grows. At 10 orders a day across two channels, managing them separately is inconvenient. At 100 orders a day across five channels, it becomes impossible without either a dedicated ops team or the right software.

2 hrs
Average daily time saved on order admin for merchants processing 50+ orders/day
~3%
Typical oversell rate for merchants managing inventory manually across channels
1 view
Every order, every channel, every status no tab-switching required

OmniOrders is designed to scale with you. Whether you're processing 20 orders a week or 2,000, the workflow is the same one screen, one process, one source of truth.

Who OmniOrders is built for

OmniOrders is most valuable for merchants who are already selling on more than one channel, or who are actively planning to expand beyond their current single channel. If you're running a WooCommerce store and selling on one or two additional platforms, OmniOrders will immediately reduce the time you spend on order admin.

It's also built for merchants who are growing their team. When more than one person is involved in fulfilment, having a single system of record for all orders becomes essential. OmniOrders gives your whole team visibility into what needs to be processed, what's been shipped, and what's outstanding without anyone needing access to every individual channel dashboard.

Already on Stratum? OmniOrders is available now across all plans. Log into your dashboard and navigate to the OmniOrders module to connect your channels and start managing all your orders from one place.

What's coming next

OmniOrders is live, but we're not done building it. Over the coming months we're adding:

  • Bulk order processing select multiple orders and process them in a single action. Particularly useful for merchants with high daily order volumes.
  • Automated fulfilment rules set rules that automatically route orders to specific warehouses, couriers or fulfilment methods based on the channel, product, or customer location.
  • Mobile order management process and update orders from your phone. Because not every merchant runs their business from a desk.
  • Customer notifications automated order status updates sent directly to your customers via email or SMS, branded to your store.

The bottom line

Multi-channel selling creates more revenue. But without the right tools, it also creates more work and more risk of the kind of operational errors that damage your seller ratings and your customer relationships.

OmniOrders removes the operational friction from running a multi-channel e-commerce business. One screen. Every order. Every channel. No spreadsheets.

If you're already on Stratum, it's available in your dashboard now. If you're not yet on Stratum, this is a good moment to take a look at what the platform can do for your business.
